I have a Koyker 150 loader on my Cub 7260. I have about 225 hours on the tractor, and the loader has never been off of it. I've had no problems at all with the loader.

I've got a Cub Cadet 7260 and #408 sub-frame mounted Cub Cadet hoe with a 16" bucket. I've got probably around 50 hours use on the hoe so far, no complaints. It comes off and goes back on fairly easy, although you do have to remove the 3 pt arms when it is on the machine (minor pain in the neck...). I've found the 16" bucket about right for the jobs I've had so far. A friend of mine has a Bradco sub-frame mounted hoe with an 18" bucket on a Ford 2120. The Bradco unit is real heavy duty. It also works well, although I've found the controls on the Bradco harder to use than mine. By harder I mean they are very touchy, just a little nudge on the joystick translates into big movements on the hoe. I find mine are easier, meaning a little nudge only moves things a little bit.. My friend feels the same way after we swapped units for a day this summer. It may be due to the fact that we are both rookies running a backhoe, and we've only got 'learners permits' so far...

Oh, one more thing, we both spent the extra $$ and had remote hydraulic outlets installed on the back of our tractors. You 'can' run a hoe using long hydraulic hoses from your loader hydraulic hose block on the front of the tractor, but the long hoses are a pain in the neck to hook and unhook, and easily get in the way. Having the rear remote outlets makes it a lot easier to hook and unhook, and makes for a much nicer looking setup. They can also come in handy for other attachments, such as a hydraulic top link that I would really like...

Hi guys. I received several e-mails recommending what AMSOIL products to use for my tractor and other vehicles, and instructions on how to purchase it. When they are due their next oil changes, I plan to make the switch. I've never used synthetics before, and will share with you my experiences afterwards. Thanks to all that took the time to send me the info I was looking for. I really appreciate it!

Dana, what brand of 3 point mixer do you have? I've been wanting one of these for a couple of years now, and I plan to buy one in the spring. If you were to buy another mixer, would you buy a 3 point? Did you ever consider a more standard mixer with a gas engine on it? Any tidbits of wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello folks. I have 21 acres in Northeast Vt. I use my Cub 7260 to maintain my 1500' not-flat driveway (no such thing as flat ground in Vt...), clear new ground, haul my firewood, and plow snow (not much of that this year!). It has a Koyker 150 loader, loaded R4 tires, 7'rear grader blade, and I got a PTO powered chipper this fall that has come in real handy. I'm looking to add a PTO cement mixer this spring as I have some stone walls I want to build that are a long ways from the house (and power). I read this forum just about daily, and have found the collective knowledge of all of you to be real useful.

I've owned a Cub 7260 for about 18 months. It has 125 hours on it. I've bush hogged with it, chipped up a huge pile of brush this fall, hauled all my firewood, plowed, graded, and maintained my 1500 foot gravel driveway, & cleared an acre of land. It has loaded R4s, and a Koyker 150 loader. I couldn't be happier with this unit. It's been trouble free. I bought it after comparing specs with other units, and talking to dealers. The excellent Cub dealer in my area was the deciding factor. Feel free to e-mail me for more info.

I've got a Cub Cadet 7260 that I bought about a year ago. After talking to several fellows in my local area about running chains on a FWA tractor such as mine, I ran chains on the front of mine all last winter. It worked GREAT! I could steer it while plowing with my back blade angled to one side, something I was having a hard time doing before the chains. I'm using old dump truck chains that I made up to fit my tractor. I got them for nothing from the guys at the town garage. They are glad to get rid of them, and if any of you have priced tire chains lately, you know they are real expensive. All I bought was a pair of tire chain pliers from Gemplers to make them up. Worked great! As far as the concerns some folks have about changing the outside diameter of the tires because of the chains, don't be. Because the cross chains are spaced about every 6 inches apart, and they are a little loose by design, it is really not any different than running your tires over a small bump in the road. Several friends of mine have also gone to the same system as I, all with the same results.

Here in Vt we also get a little frost from time to time. My father-in-law taught <br>me a trick years ago about putting poles in the ground that I've used many <br>time with success. His trick was to put a pipe around the post, with the <br>bottom of the pipe at the same level as the bottom of the post (below frost<br>level), and the top of the pipe a few inches above ground level. The frost <br>will grab a hold of and move the pipe up and down, but the post never moves.<br>A simple time proven solution...

I've owned a 7260 for about 6 months now. I bought it with a Koyker 150 loader, R4 tires (loaded with windshield washer fluid), and a 7' grader blade. I have about 80 hours on it now. It has been used to grade my 1/4 mile driveway, haul stones for a 100 foot long stone wall, has hauled logs for my winter's firewood, and plowed snow all winter. It has performed better than my expectations. The only problem I've had to date is a couple of loose lug nuts on my right rear wheel. It starts at 0 degrees with no problem. I've made one modification to the seat, drilling some new holes in the mounting plate to put it as far back as I could (I'm 6'2
